a little advice, please
a little advice, please
a few weeks ago, i got a code( i don't remember the number right now) saying that i had a cylinder 1 misfire. i reset it, and it has not come back. this morning, i started my car and immediately my check engine light came on. i checked it, and it is 0403(throttle position sensor). once again, i reset it. so far, it hasn't come back on. looking at the possible causes of 0403, i see fuel injectors. do you think this could be why i also got the misfire code?
if the code doesn't come back does that mean the problem wasn't there? could a voltage fluctuation or something like that cause a code, and the part or circuit still be good?
also, i am going on a 4-5 hour trip tomorrow. do you think this would be un-wise considering i just got this code? if it doesn't show up again, i was just going to go ahead and go.

so with any of these things being bad, wouldn't the code return? is it possible for the particular component to intermittently be faulty?
I would guess that it you will get another code. Every code that I have ever had in this car has always come back within a week after I reset the ECU. You should wait until it comes back and don't reset it so the mechanics can diagnose the problem. They don't like it when you bring them the codes and they don't get to charge you for hooking up their scanner to the car
