Are my headlights (HID) normal??
Are my headlights (HID) normal??
My wife has an 03 SE, and I still can't figure out if the HIDs are correct or not. When the low beams are on, the light is very nice white with just a slight bluish tint. On high beams, the light is much more yellow with no blue at all.
Could it be that the high bulbs have been replaced with crappy bulbs, or is this what they look like from the factory?
Also, the fog lights don't appear to be HID (is that what is supposed to be in there?)
Thanks
Jamie

'02 SE owner chiming in to say that yes, only the low beams are HIDs. Bi-xenons are pretty much found only on luxury brands like BMW.
I thought the PIAAs still looked yellow compared to the HIDs from what I've read on here. There's a HID fog kit (Umnitza or Helios maybe?) that you can get which is popular because it's bright enough that you can use your fogs as your low beams and run just angel eyes in your regular headlights. Assuming you installed angel eyes...

Are the piaa brighter than the stock fog lights or is it just a diff color but with like no power?
02 and 03 all came with hid's I believe. That is why a lot of the 02-03 have a big problem of thefts of these lights. They fit directly into the 00-03.
