Trouble With Auto Shop!!!need Help Pliz!

hey guys!!! i have a problem. I took my car to a midas and they fu$*ed up my car. They are supposed to have just changed the starter and they ended up killing my exhaust and transmission fluid oozing out. i dont know what to do. i am clueless. please help me. I am going to take some pictures of the car and and the exhaust so i can show you. I talked to the manager and he is saying that the starter has nothing to do with the componets of the engine. What do you think i should do.

unless you can prove the car did not have those problems when it drove in and it did have the problems when it drove out, you are fkd.
you can always call corporate that may light a fire under them to make good

[jingle] Trust the midas touch [/jingle]

some people like chains, rather than the independants.

Sometimes these things just happen, ya know. After taking it to a shop, weird things start happening, and Im not joking.

Edit: Just the other day, I brought my car to be looked at by some mechanic, where I noticed that somebody ruined my perfectly clean VE 5spd's body. How does somebody hit me there while the car is parked, I have no idea.

you can change out the starter in these cars without removing anything else. If you have other problems they more than likely have nothing to do with the shop you took it to.

Do like me: After a murder attempt via ruining my steering in a shop, I started myself to wreck my own cars, lots cheaper, arguments shorter...

Similar experience was the final demise of my 240. Someone hit it sitting at Main Muffler and Brake, put a nice crease down the driver's side. Couldn't open that door any more, the shop wouldn't take responsibility even though it was left in their custody, in their parking lot...

I talked to corporate and they had the car towed to another Midas close to where the car is and as far as they went, the car had some vacuum leaks that they say might have happened when they opened up the space to remove the starter. AS far as the exhaust, maybe i might be wrong, thats why i take my car to a mechanic but the down pipe or whatever you call it is directly below the tranny which is inturn directly under the starter. So right now they said they did not have the chance to check it all out to see if they might have messed with the tranny but they will let me know 2mrw.

and i will take pics 2mrw. i wasnt able to take pictures coz they came to take the car and i had to be at work. but i will post as soon as i get the car back.

Hey guy,

Well that's no fun..............I myself and not a big fan of these types of places and have a couple independants I work with. And to be honest......when something big is wrong with my 92 Max.........I take it to a Nissan dealer where they have a mechanic with 20 years experience and he loves my Maxima cause it's so clean.........I may see if he would do some work for me outside the dealer. I know I tried to get some guys to do big jobs on my Max and they would not touch it cause it was quite a job......for example.......Timing belt and water pump..........Dealer did it! Anyhow good luck man! Let us know what happens!
