9004 blub to HID plug and play

this guy in the bay area (sunset dist.) is offering plug and play HID lights. my question is if anyone has heard/done this and if there were any problems. Also, does anyone foresee any problems/BS. I don't have any pics cuz I'm gonna check out the kit tomorrow. He says he's done it to his car with 9004 blubs.
thanks for any input

You will have terrible glare issues. For the sake of other drivers, do it right with a projector retrofit.

on my '96 i purchased a 6,000k kit HID kit and a new set of OEM headlight assemblies. NEVER once was i high beamed or had glare issues. People who dont know how to aim their headlights will inturn have people high beaming them and have glare issues. They can say what they want about the beam not being focused like a projector and all that BS. But bottom line if you want HID's and dont want to do a projector retro fit just go for it.

This is what i would do... order the HID kit and one night find a dark parking lot or street thats level and adjust the lights accordingly. I used my garage doors at night and leveled them off with the door seems.

Ballast AND bulb life on aftermarket hid kits are low, I wouldn't pay more that $100 for the set if I were you(if that). Hope there aren't any gangs in your area doing initiations, they might think you are highbeaming them
