Well, are you equipped enough to do the work yourself? If so, I'd say that that is MORE than enough.

I have not done the INNER TIE ROD, but I have done the rest of the stuff you listed, and here a list of part prices (not saying that you need ALL this stuff).

Control arm $200 new, cheaper used
Outer Tie Rod $50
Strut $80-$100 (depending on your brand)
Axle $60
Wheel and tire (whatever you usually pay)

the first and only part I would buy is the control arm. After you get it, get under the car(assuming you have removed aLl the bad parts) and see if you can fit it without a problem. I had the same damage once and it turned out that the metal structure that the control arm bolts to is bent so the car had to be put on stands and "stretched" out. If yours fit perfectly then go ahead and buy the rest of the parts needed.

I'll bet that's what your GF's dad needs to see after he hands you $1300.

the smart thing to do would be to repair the car and then return the left over money to him.. otherwise it can/will cause problems with you and the GF if you're serious and she finds out you took $$ from her family for something you didn't need......

Well, make sure you check EVERYTHING...my wife hit something in my car and caused control arm damage, and I fixed ONLY the control arm, but about a month later, the cast iron knuckle that holds the strut to the wheel hub broke, causing this

This reminds me of when my front driver side wheel came off spontainiously at 65mph. That was a blast. Guy that owned it before me put an insane amount of tourqe on the bolts and they stripped out. the car tried to run over the tire, it bent the fender and shot the tire off ahead of me. Iwas in the slow lane and the tire hit the dividing wall and stopped. Im just glad it was late and no one hit my tire...so when it comes to that stuff do it right!!
