It's an easy job to do yourself. You should be able to do it in under an hour.

1. It cost me $300 for a new start installed.
2. Try regional forum for a list of good mechanics in the area.
3. Delete the double thread.

it cost me 147$ or something to pick up a new starter from auto zone, and then i got like a 20$ rebate when i brought back in my old one. it took me like 45 minutes to replace it myself, and that was parked on the side of a road where i could not get my car to start again. its not hard to do especially if you have your stock airbox and everything out.

its very easy - make sure you have a breaker bar though, it helps alot. I got a remanufactured one from NAPA for 120 dollars and installed it myself. It works great.

Get a Haynes or Chiltons, or better yet FSM, best thing you can do to save yourself some money.
