cruise control...

does anyone knows...when your travelling at let's say 60 mph and holding the gas pedal..when you put the cruise control on, why does the pedal goes down toward the floor a little bit more?? is this because my throttle cable and the cruise control cable on the TB is not adjusted properly or what?...I' would think that driving on the cruise control cost more money in gas than holding the pedal (at the same speed)..is that true?

thanks!

It's because the car needs more throttle to maintain the set speed ..

If you're going up a hill you might need a smidge more throttle in order to maintain the set speed.
