what happens if you cut off/took out the metal piece that is inside the foglight that goes in front of the bulb?

i bent mine up a little and it looks brighter, what if i took them all the way off?

anyone done this before?

youll get pulled over and also flashed by on comming traffic .... those metal guards/shields are in there for a reason, they are there to help reflect the light off the inside of the housing to project the beam of light onto the roads .. itll be to bright without them
