Help! Car dies sporatically when clutch is in

It also happens when the clutch is out when it is out of gear. From what I can tell the possible problems are the MAF sensor, TPS, or the wireharness. I tried to check the TPS and the 1st pin that is supposed to have 5v didn't have anything. So either the TPS is bad or the wireharness to the TPS is bad. However it doesn't stall all the time and the tech at the dealership (he didn't actually look at my car) told me that he thought it was the MAF sensor and only the dealership's machines could check to see if the MAF was reading wrong. It has never thrown any codes either. Any ideas before I start buying expensive sensors?
