Sway Bar improve handling on dropped ride ?

Did any1 see a major improvement of handling with the addition of a Sway Bar to an already dropped max. I am dropped on Eibachs with tokiko blues, and it handles alright, but not great. So, I was wondering if the RSB would make any noticeable differences ? Thanks for any input, I also upgraded my sawblades to the 16' SE 5spokes.

Are you only supposed to install the sway bar on ramps, and not jack the car up ? Why is this ?

I felt the difference on my 5th Gen, as have some others. I have a thread discussing that here:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=412478

And here are 2 more 4th Gen specific threads:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=407249
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=417699

Hope that helps.

As for whether the differences are good or not, is a completely different discussion and probably also depends on what you intend to accomplish with the car.

And I jacked the car up to do it using a garage jack and stands. No reason why you can't.

flavor, what kind of drop do you have ? So all people who have a moderate drop like i do , (eibachs, blues) is it safe to say there is a major improvement ?

I dunno if it actually improves handling. It just makes the car lean into turns alot less. Which in turn gives you more confidence to go faster. I took mine off recently and sold it on the org. Now the car feels unsafe when I attempt the off ramps at high speed, but that's just how the car feels. It doesn't necessarily mean the car handles worse without a rsb. I got rid of mine to improve the ride quality during my daily commute. It's so much more comfortable without it. Still riding on the Tokico blues/springs set. I'm over the thought of turning a family sedan into a race car. Now I just want the car to be comfortable and reliable.

i have tried multiple setups. there is a great thread around. i like the response of the rsb at lower speeds but thats all. i acctually feel less confident with it on. the ride with it is also harsh.

Less body roll would gives you better handling.
Not anything like a set of springs, but it is noticable.

How did the RSB make the ride harsh? It doesnt stiffen up the chassis that much.

But it does tie the two arms and wheels together more than stock. A bump on one side get's transferred to both struts. Speed bumps really show the difference.

That was a good thread, depending on the bushing setup I could see how it could make the rear axle real firm.
I guess I have mine in between because mine isnt too bad. My setup is stiff, but its stiff all around.
Ive always heard the horror stories of peoples rear breaking loose due to the RSB and fortunatly I have yet to experience this.
Granted, I dont beat on it severly around corners but I do put it to work.
On the highway is where i really like it. When I open up the car and switch lanes it feels real solid.
