bosch O2 sensors or OEM sensors?

some guy at auto zone told me that bosch supplies nissan with oem O2 sensors. and i looked at him with an odd face.

is there any truth to it? i honestly wouldnt know if he is bullshyting me or not.

my question now is....are bosch O2 sensors any good for out 4th gens? anyone with bosch o2 sensors installed? ur experiences? i have either 2 choices. i either go with bosch or nissan o2 sensors.

the only reason i wud get the bosch is cuz i can get them at a nasty discounted price from advance auto parts.

what do u guys think?

I just put 2 bosch o2 sensors in and they seem to work fine. just make sure you get the oe connector not universal, easier to install and stuff.

It's for a volvo, but you get the general idea. The guy MAY have been correct.

You didn't read what some of us already said huh? I've personally seen quite a few OEM o2 sensors come off of maximas and they were bosch.

Nissan doesn't make O2 sensors or for that matter any other sensor in your car.
Nissan doesn't make paint.
Nissan doesn't make glass.
Nissan doesn't make oil, or any other fluid you put in your car.
Nissan does't make any of the material in the interrior of your car.

Nissan designs and BUILDS engines and cars.
Subcontractos provide Nissan with the materials they need to accomplish that task.

i work at autozone as well and i have never had anyone complain about them. Either bosch or NGK makes our o2 sensors, i think bosch does.

Actually I did read some of what you have already said. The only proof any person had was their word. I was providing actual proof that they supply these parts to

It's not the link i had the problem with, even though i thought it was sorta irrelevant. It's just that you said that guy at autozone "MAY" be right when quite a few of us in this thread or others have said that bosch makes the OEM o2's for us. I thought it was pretty common knowledge actually...:shrugs:

Same topic different question

Are you planning to change all three sensors? I have heard the one after the CAT is not really required. Is that true?

Hmmmm

Thinking ahead...nice.

Anyone know if that is true? I have hole in my exhaust and I can put in a new CAT-back system with the O2 sensor hole which is expensive or without the O2 sensor hole which is much cheaper. If the last O2 sensor is not really doing anything then I would like to save the money. Thoughts???

Bosch is the OE supplier of virtually every O2 sensor in every car. Bosch invented the O2 sensor BTW.
