Good and Bad day at the 1/4 mile...

Well the Good about the day was I got in the 14.6 but could not break it. I made about 9 passes and the best run I got was my 2nd pass of the day.
rt--------.346
60'-------2.29
1/8-------9.45 same PB in the 1/8
1/8 mph--75.76
1/4-------14.603 almost in the 14.5's
1/4 mph--94.94

The guy I ran against drove a porsche his time
rt--------.052
60'-------2.269
1/8-------9.57 same PB in the 1/8
1/8 mph--75.88
1/4-------14.848 almost in the 14.5's
1/4 mph--92.98

The bad:
I thought the Test and Tune was at night but when I called them at 11:00am they said it started at 12:00pm. So I have to drive 1.5 hours at 80-85 mph to get there. Another thing I was hoping to run in the 50 degree weather instead I get the 70 degree weather. I could only launch from idle (600 rpm's) if I tried to go any higher I would just wheel hope bad. At first I thought I made the 14.848 pass since I got the yellow copy (losers) therefore I lowered my tire pressure. This resulted in me getting lower mph and higher times. I thought I go the slower time since he just barely beat me ( I was catching back up to him). But in all it was a good time I'm pretty happy with the times. I just need to work on the launches.

Some cheap advice ( it's worth what you paid for it) - get JClaws' traction bars. Think how you would have launched with NO wheel-hop or torque steer!
I'm running dual-stage NX nitrous with two different sets of BFG DRs, into the 13's and I went from MASSIVE problems to NO problems on the launch - plus the darn car just handles better on the street.

grey: Yeah I need to get those, how much was he selling those for again?

Kevlo: They are about 40-45 on my home scale 15" rims. You should get those times because I did no weight reduction besides the spare in the back. Plus I think there is something wrong with my car since my mph is a lot lower than others. Unless it is just my launching.

I forgot to metion my stock B-pipe has a hole in it so now my car sounds like a bucket.

SDot82, I think they're $200 delivered, but you should PM him to find out. I know SonicDust187 is installing them as we speak.. Maybe he knows the current price.

I have one question should I hold third gear until the finish or should I switch to fourth like I did in the 14.603 run. I tried to do it one time but I didn't want to hit the rev limiter so I back off in the last 10 feet or so.

There is a link in the stickies for shift points with MEVI...I don't know if the 00vi is different though.

edit: It says redline all gears for MEVI, so I imagine the 00vi to be the same.
