Bose, problem with volume control
For about the last 4 months, whenever it is cold inside my car, the volume control acts retarded. When I go to put the volume down it goes way up and visa versa. It seems to go back to normal once the inside of the car gets warmer. Has anyone else had this problem? Any easy way to fix it? I don't really want to swap it out for an aftermarket HU.
myne does that regardless. its junk after its worn i guess.
i say do an all aftermarket system.. using mabe kenwood headunit or something and some nice speakers with good bass response and high spl! anyways this option should sound alot better than the stock bose system, might cost alot more but sometimes its well worth it. if your looking to fix the problem at minimal cost and you like the sound output (just know there is much better!)... then swap out the old with a new bose system, check ebay... but be warned, other head units of the same nature will have the problem in the future if they dont already have it.
so you may be stuck with the problem unless you go all aftermarket... if the problem is fixed just know it could go bad at any time again.

Okay, since we're on the subject of Bose systems, I get this buzzing interference noise from the speakers frequently and it's pretty loud. Anyone else have this problem? It's annoying. When this happens when I have passengers in the car, they just look at the radio, with a WTF look on their face. If they ask, I just say, " Yeah, I get interference in the area we're driving in. " Which is all areas.
Rather than tell them that my Bose is a POS.

I searched, but couldn't find anyone else with the same problem, but it appears their is. I was hoping someone else who had had this problem had taken it apart and fix it themselves. I thought it might be some type of metal connection behind the volume control and not the "brain" of the unit itself.
