Bad Smell

I have a bad smell coming from my vents when the heater is on and it's also present if I smell behind the passenger front tire? It smells like burnt rubber. What could it be?

first cross your fingers and check under your car for a transmission leak. Depending on what kinda oil got put in the transmission it smells like that when it gets warm.---- personal experience

I can't tell if the smell is from the belts or from engine oil which I have a small leak of that as well. I'm just going to change the belts and see if that takes the smell away. The engine oil leak is going to be too expensive for me right now.

Thank you all. Rep points for all.
