06 Max bluetooth, BAD News:(

Well got off the phone with dealer!
They said Nissan Only supports
Send,Receive,make calls.
So if someone calls you, you have to look on your phone.
Nothing shows up in the screen.
The nice Signal, txt, etc won't show up eather!
I find this tottaly BS!

Yeah that's crap... but there might be a fix in the future? I know the TL's handsfree link stuff used to suck and now people say it's better.

Good luck with it though... I know I would be pissed.

True. No display on radio at all. Otherwise it works excellent. Glad Nextel finally came out with a nice bluetooth phone.

Flash update? Now that would be very nice.

I saw on a past post that someone showed the screen with all the signs and there was a signal bar, so im sure they can update that easy, but as for the names that does suck, Nissan is half azzin alot of things.

...any software which allows to upgrade to this existing bluetooth function. I got an '04 Maxima and on the verge of buying the updated Navi cd, but would like to know if there's anything to get the new features of the '06 Maximas.

Great Site guys! I have a quick question , I have an 06 Maxima and a v710 phone.
http://dts.vzw.com/pdf/Motorola_carkit_v710.pdf says it should show CID on the screen. It does not, do you think the chart can be in correct? Or is there a bug in the maxima?

Parrot Bluetooth CarKit

hey , I have the parrot 3000 kit, the one before the new evolution. It works great, it's simple to use, and it has a clean install. I used it with the SE P800, and now with the Nokia 6600. the only problem I had with it is that sometimes, it won't drop the bluetooth connection. What I mean is that, after the call is over the connection still sticks, so the muted radio doesn't come back on. I have to turn the car off and on, or turn the phone off for it to let go of the connection. I think it's just the firmware issue, mine is old, over 1 year. But all in all Im happy with it.

Oh I have a 2002 Maxima with Navi.

I have an '06 Maxima w/ Nav and a motorola E815. I get absolutely nothing on the screen. I love the Bluetooth accesibilty but I hate the fact that I had to re-enter the phone book.

There HAS to be a way to get the info on the screen, or you don't think a wire is there to support it?

No, nowing Nissan, I doubt there is any link between the bluetooth and screen/stereo/nav system other than a mute function.

Hello everyone, I'm a new owner of a 06 Maxima, the car is great, lots of features, we are very happy with our new ride, the bluetooth is an exellent feature, my wife has a motorola V551 and the connection with the car is great, the ONLY thin that really sucks is I'm not able to see anything on the screen, no incoming calls, no phonebook, nothing, cero, nada.
What do you guys think, maybe in the future it will be a patch from Nissan to resolve this little issue???
Thanks.

Anyone with exprience with the adapters for non-bluetooth phones and the bluetooth system on the 06 max? I have a Sprint Sanyo RL-7300.

I have been looking into purchasing the Cardo Scala BTA Adapater for non-bluetooth phone so I can use the function in my max. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this sort of setup?

Here is a link to the product: http://www.cardowireless.com/adapter2.php

I looked at other options such as the jaba A210 (http://www.jabra.com/JabraCMS/NA/EN/...A210/JabraA210) but reviews I have found state problems with echoing and overall quality.

new owner of an SL w/bluetooth
honestly, it's not so bad, considering the fact that's it's the first car that i've owned with such a feature and because of the fact that it works so well, it's fine by me.

Anyone have similar probs with a Nokia ?

I wiped out 1 of my 2, 97's...sorry...a stupid **** lady wiped out my max. Anyway, I am replacing it with a 06' with Bluetooth and ironically I have to upgrade my cell phone due to expiration of contract. Does anyone know if the Nokia's display CID on the display and are there any other related issues with the Nokias?

Thanks

No Cid

I received an e-mail from the manufacturer of the BlueTooth system and they said that Nissan requested that the information NOT be displayed on the info screen.

Hello all. This is my first post. I have a Smoke / Black interior 06 Maxima SL with everything but the elite package.
