Ok, over time i've been working on my suspension to make it handle the 2" Drop,Rims and Chicago Streets. As far as my suspension goes this is what i'm working with-Sprint Springs, KYB AGXs, Energy Suspension bushings and Front brace bar. I was looking into Hi-performance Axles and I came across Raxles Performance which Cesars Chariot has on his car so I know they are a good Co. to work with so, I talk to a guy at Raxles and he said with a 2" Drop is not good for the axles and it puts more pressure on axles and that I will be going through axles often if they are Performance axles or not. Does anyone that have this same setup or similiar have a problem with going through axles?
Is there something out there to leavate the pressure on the axles? or should I just get some eibach and get rid of the Sprints.


P.S. I don't have bad axles yet the car drives like a champ but I just don't want to throw any money away. I want to see if there is a solution to this problem.

 

Marty is right, a 2" drop will put a strain on the axles and you will in deed go through axles faster. Iansw had sprints and was supercharged and was going through axles every 3 months. He switched to B & G's and is fine. I used to have sprints and had no problems. I switched over to Eibachs for handleing reasons but the look of the drop isnt as good. Me being supercharged now, I would never think of going any lower now. If i wasnt S/ced I would probably still be on Sprints

Also, with sprints, your AGX's arent covered any longer. If they blow, its all your fault

Ive been with the Sprints and AGX's for over 3 years now and havent had any issues with my axles.

 

i rode with Sprint springs from 50k-148k mi, and only had CV boot rip on me. The boot was old, but the axles never gave me a problem.

 

I think if your putting down alot of power, you may want to avoid low riding springs like Sprints and Intrax. If your putting down stock power or a bit more, I think your axles will be ok

i had 75 shot of nitrous, and ran drag radials, and didnt have a problem..

 

lol..well some people do...IANSW supercharged went through axles every 3 months.

Ive also heard that the heavier auto tranny was the culprit.

My old car, which is now owned by Emmas97 has sprint/agx. Tilley turned that into a torque beast. I don't think they've changed the springs and shocks on that since they got the car from me.

 

The transmission isn't THAT much heavier that you'd think it'd cause the axles to go every 3 months. I've been on Sprints for 3 years, no problems yet.

Has any1 drive their car with this setup in the snow? If so how is your experience in winter driving?

This will be the first winter with being dropped to drive in the snow.
