Intermittent Wiper Upgrade
Intermittent Wiper Upgrade
I got used to driving my beater 85 celica and using the intermittent wipers recently and then noticed that my GXE doesn't have them. I'd never thought of it before and it really pissed me off that a 97 maxima doesn't have a simple option that even my 85 celica has. So, I went to the junkyard, bought an intermittent wiper switch for $20, and swapped one out for my old switch. It took less than 15 minutes total time to swap. It was a simple unplug-plug after I removed the plastic around the switch and then removed two screws. It was a very useful and cheap mod. The switch also looks and feels better.
I picked-up another intermittent switch while I was at the junkyard. I'll sell it for $22 shipped if anyone wants it, just to save me the trip back to the junkyard to return it. PM me if you want it.

I also did that upgrade, it was well worth it and very easy to do. I was amazed that my Max didn't have that, when both my previous cars did (a 22 year old Volkswagen and a 11 year old Corolla). It feels a lot less cheap than the regular switch too.
