Warpspeed Exhaust Package...shorten?

Hey guys,

Need some advice on what to do. I put on the Warpspeed and the shop did a crap job of installing it. Another shop fixed it for me but the muffler extends out like 2 inches. I don't really care about that, but it always scrapes on inclines because I have the car lowered. I'm about to change the catalytic converter because it got f'd up (which also means I'll need to change the resonator). Should I have the shop fix the length issue or should I just get a whole new cat/y-pipe/resonator? I've got a magnaflow muffler that I like. It's not too loud but still throaty.

Thanks.

What has replacing the catalytic converter got to do with replacing the resonator ?

and do whatever you need to do to make it stop scraping...

the 97-99 has a longer bumper so I bet that WSP left the muffler tip a bit long for those years. It really wouldnt fit it anything else was shorter or longer, other wise it would rub.

When I had my WS exhaust installed, the shop had to cut an inch or two off one of the pipes in order to get the whole thing to sit flat and not hang down.

I say have them cut what they need to cut and weld the whole thing solid.

The Cat has nothing to do with the "scraping". I just mentioned that because it's starting to knock and I'm thinking of changing it. I had the whole thing welded, but when they did it they said it would cause damage to the resonator (long story my pipes were ruined because of the shop that did the initial install).

Thanks guys, that's what I needed to know.
