antenna parts question

Does anyone know if the power antenna for the 98 Maxima is compatible with other years and models of Nissans? I want to see if any of the local junkyards have a power antenna and I want to maximize the range of possible hits.

Thanks

Hello there: I believe (Maxima.org members chime in) that the Maximas from 1995-99 use the same antenna assembly. Are you looking for the entire assembly or just the mast?

errr, , the mast is the assembly, unless you're referring to the wiring harness.

Ebay or www.pinnaclenissan.com, cheap prices, and check Radio Shack for their "FM signal enhancers"

Tfvesquire, I am looking for the entire power antenna. I just want to know if any of the other models share the same power antenna as the 98 Maxima.

I just want to get as wide range of Nissans that all use the same part so that I can ask the junkyard if they have any power antennas, for example, for any Nissan Altimas for the years '95 to '02 or Pathfinders '93 to '97 or Maximas '95 to 98, etc.

Same motor and mast between all 95-99 Maximas, and probably I-30s.

NmemMAX, I already tried to just replace the mast and was not able to pull it out of the power assembly. I ended up ruining the plastic that the outside bolt screws into when I got the bright idea to dig the mast out. Now I have a stub of an antenna and that bolt doesn't tighten down flush to the car.

The reason why I wanted to try a junkyard is because I just want to sell the car with either a fully functional power antenna or one that is disconnected from power but pulled all the way up.
