Creepy souning suspension

I am hearing these snaping sounds as my car is in motion. Whenever i go over a bump or turn my wheels. It's hard to explain what kind of sound. It's like when you would tighten a bolt and at the very end when it is getting tighter you hear those snaps when it is very tight. Well kinda like knocking sound. I cant post attachments so i cant put up a audio file. But if anyone had this or have any knowledge of what it is please let me know.
Thanks

Check your strut bearings. Mine are bad and make a creaking/popping sort of sound.

My Struts are brand new. Rear used to do the same, but stopped. Now when i go over a bump, they make a screeching sound. The front is what realy bothering me, its realy loud. When im standing in one spot and turning my wheel, it makes the same sound.

The noise happens when you are standing still? Is it a crunching sound? There us another recent thread that discusses a crunching sound. There is a good discussion on it. I had a crunching sound from my left axle while turning right. It was my axle. My hub retaining nut was a little too loose.

Could be your strut mount insulators.

Mine make the same creaking noise, but I still haven't got around to replacing them. Gotta unbolt the entire suspension in order to swap em out.

If you're lowered, did you wrap the springs with wire/insulation? If you didn't, it could be spring noise.

sorry, my car is lowered with: new OEM struts and Weapon R coilovers. I just recently raised it all the way and the noise is only from one side and allot less of it. Wire? Insulation? I never heard of that.

Here you go. It's in the stickies, as is everything else anyone would ever want to know about the 4th gen maxima.
