Anyone roll their fenders theirselves? how did you do this?

 

I used a Dremel to cut slits about 1" apart in the fender lip and used a mallet to tap in each section.

from a quick google search, its a modification to the fender to fit a larger tire: "roll the fender lip so any future tire contact is against a smooth rolled surface rather than a sharp edge."

Depending how much you push em up, you'll need to redo the tabs that hold the fender liner on. On some cars I've seen them just insert the liner above the fender and bend it up to hold the liner in place. Note, with wide tires, track, offset, etc. I find it just as useful to set the ride height higher as no amount of rolling is gonna help big 245/265 tires in front.

 

There is a special tool for rolling fenders. Go to Snap-on's website and look in the body work sections you should be able to find it there (I'm only giving Snap-on as an example because I KNOW they have it since I get most of my tools from them, but I'm sure cheaper companies make the tool as well)

 

i used a bat on my old integra. my friend drove the car forward and backward as i held the bat inside the wheel well. came out clean.

 

the bat idea might not work for us in the rear, you might cause damage to the humpwe have around the rear fender

 

Just as it was stated before, rolling the inner lip on the fenders allows the wheel to be tucked in without rubbing.
Many slammed Hondas do this.
Ive heard many people using the Base Ball bat method.

i heard rolling them in weakens the fender.. specially if slit and folded in... ... but yea i know a maxer that is slammed wiht the wheels tilting in.. looks ****ing sexy.. but we live in NY and i dont knwo how the HELL he gets into ... parking garages, Fast food places etc. i mean that thing is a pain and a half...
