cold starts....even colder driver!

OK, so I've come to decide as it is starting to get cold outside for the first time since I've had my max, the heater sucks. I've tried letting my car warm up in the morning for ten to fifteen minutes and I still freeze. Anyone else feel the same way? I just needed a place to complain...I hate being cold...maybe I need to move to the coast, there's more max owners out there anyway

Could be a bad thermostat, remote start in your friend, especially in that state. I'm in TN and it's been 25-30 in the mornings now. Remote start? You better believe it. You can even set most of them to start every 3 hours if it gets really cold.

Getting hot heat could be as easy as changing your thermostat.

Does it take a long time for the temp gauge to rise up to the middle? If so then it's a simple thermostat change that will warm things up for you.

If the temp gauge goes go up to the mid point, but you still don't have hot heat then you need to check for proper coolant flow through the heater coil. There's a water control valve that might be stuck or the heater core itself may be clogged.

It is a bad thermostat. Also it necessarily isnt bad it could be a low temp. thermostat, those are usually used in warmer states. Try going your local Nissan dealer and picking up an OEM thermostat.
