My good friend: 2001 Maxima Anniversary Edition 5 spd
Me: 2000 Celica GT-S 6spd
Both bone stock and both with one passenger in our cars.
Well, at the start we both spinned our tires like hell. Guess
we were nervous. Not very experienced at driving and we jus dropped our
clutches rather than slipping them for a sec.
He pulled out ahead immediately with his huge torque advantage. I was at his back door. Then I hit 6000 rpm VVTL-i and I pulled even with him. I shifted to 2nd (landed at 6000 rpm, in VVTL) and and through the top of 2nd we were dead even. I shifted to 3rd, then we both braked cuz cars were ahead (45 mph road). ahah it was funny cuz we gave each other thumbs ups and silly grins. ahah
btw we all watched Animal and it was hilarious!!!
ahah

Does racing against them on the bottle while they are stock count?

I havent raced a new Celica but i have raced some old ones. Not much fun. I would get my *** handled unless the driver cant drive stick for their life or i drop the bottle.

Iwould love to see how the race woulda ended up if you guys kept going. Good job though!

I've raced a couple. From the line, I pull on them pretty hard. From a roll, I slowly inch away from them. I know that a few GT-Ss have hit mid 14s, but the ones I've seen at the track are running low to mid 15s @ 91mph or so. They're sweet cars, they just need to be driven really hard to get them to perform.
