maxima doesnt wanna start

alright i started having this problem last week. I turned the max off and turned it on after a couple of minutes. Didn't start. So I jump started it, it started up just fine. Then I left it on my driveway for a week. I started it yesterday morning and it managed to start up but it didn't want to. However, I tried today and didn't start. I get this clicking noise. I wanted to go to autozone or something to get it checked but I can't even start it. Yesterday when it worked, I checked with voltmeter and the battery had a constant 14.7 volts. I dunno wuts up with it, I think its the starter but i Dunno.

So you first had the problem, jumped the battery, it worked and you then left the car for a week only for it to barely start again?

If thats the case the battery was low or dying and the jump helped charge it back up some, but not all the way, and sitting for a week I'm surprised it managed to start up.

*Have you battery checked, it could just be dying/dead.*

however, the wierd part is that the voltmeter says constant 14.7 volts. And I tried jump starting from other cars and it didn't start.

Sounds like the starter is going out. A co worker had the same problem. Thought it was the battery but it turned out the starter was on it's way out. Get the battery checked and if it's good, then you know it's the starter.

Aren't "clicking sounds" synonymous with bad starters? What's that thing with hitting it with a hammer or something...?
