catalyst converter

So I"m deciding to do it the ghetto way to increase my HP and hollow out my converter... just wanted to ask the pros and the cons of doing so, will it give me the bee like sound?

I agree with Vlasic, first of all it's illegal in most states, and it will give you virtually no gains.

Should you decide to do so, get a test pipe instead, as it's easier, cleaner, and you can easily revert to a legal exhaust system for your next emissions inspection or what have you.

Even a test pipe is pretty useless. Unless you are boosted you should leave your cat ALONE! The only other reason you should ever replace it is because your stock one is bad and you need a new one to pass smog. In that case you can do what I did and just get a hiflow cat wich is much cheaper than an OEM cat and will still pass smog.
