No heat still!!!!! Help......

Ok this has been going on for over a year. I have no heat in my car at all. It might get luke warm at best. I have had the heater core changed [due to a leak] ,radiator [due to a leak] and I changed the thermostat. Still nothing, the fluid is filled all the way. I can let the car run for a hour and still nothing, what am I missing, will the temp sensor have anything to do with this? Any help would be appreciated.

I just went and let the car warm up again, felt both heater hoses flowing to the heater core and they were both hot. I noticed that both radiator hoses were hot but not real hot, i could keep my hand on both of them and there didn't seem to be any pressure in the hoses. I could collapse both hoses by squeezing them, is this normal?

No - the hoses should not be that soft.

Does the car's temperature gauge indicate that the car is reaching it's normal operating temp? (i.e the temp gauge should be about in the middle and stay there).

You might have a bad heater core check valve - if hot coolant is not getting to the heater core, you won't get heat.

Yes the temp gauge reaches normal.

I went and checked the heater hoses again on the firewall that go to and from the heater core. The top one that is in a "U" shape is hot but the one underneath that is not hot at all, not even warm. I am assuming this is the outake hose which I believe means the hot cooloant is going in but not coming out of the heater core...........clogged heater core?

I'm not familiar with the hoses going to/from the heater core (haven't had to deal with any of those issues yet), but since you said the heater core was replaced, it might just be the valve that is stuck closed.

If the inlet hose is hot but the outlet hose is not, it sounds like the valve is stuck closed or the heater core is clogged.

I suppose there is also the possibility that the valve is not being "opened" by the climate control unit... i.e. as you increase the temperature, that valve should receive signals to open - and that may not be happening (this is probably the least likely scenario).

I know this may sound stupid, but try messing with your temperature slider on the climate control, wiggle it up and down while sliding it back and forth, with your engine already on and warm.
I broke the slider on mine and it is really sensitive right now, so thats what I have to do to change the temp. so it IS possible for the slider to somehow not work and get stuck at the same tempature
I'm looking to replace the climate control unit when I can find one.
