Rear suspension diagram?...

I tried searching for a good 20 minutes.. all the links I found were old and the pictures were taken down. Need a simple diagram of the rear suspension to make sure I'm reassembling it right, its been a long time!

Ok for my rear suspension I have the AGXs, KYB dustboots/bumpstops, Tein H-Techs, and Ben's rear strut mount plates. I need to know if my order should be as follows:

KYB boot/bump -> upside-down bronze bowl -> star bushing (56218-61L10) -> strut mount -> smaller rubber bushing (56217-61L10) -> dish-shaped washer

My problem is that with the KYB boot, I don't have room for the star bushing. Should I be cutting this in half? If I don't, when I tighten the strut top bolt, the star bushing is so compressed that it pushes the KYB boot/bumpstop below the notch on the AGXs, basically making them useless.

Thanks,
-Cyrus

wanna put up some pics of the parts? just because if you're using a/m mount plates, as well as lowering springs, you may not be able to use the bump stop.

go to the all motor section, and open up the fsm from the stickes. Rear axle. they should have a good exploded view of it, with torque specs everything.

The thing I circles, if I put that on, the KYB bumpstop gets pushed too far down. Should I trim it in half or leave it off?

that installation is correct. i had kyb boots and i beleve they did the same thing. technicly they arent for our car, so they dont fit perfectly. they are crap anyhow and rip very easy and quickly. if you have the original bump stop you should use it. if the boot was torn then you can use rancho dust boots instead. they are $3 for a pair.

since you are using bens mounts you can trim the bottom of it. if you were using the stock mount then it wouldnt be a good idea because the "upside-down bronze bowl" could hit the mount and make noises.
have you tried assembling the pieces without the spring, just to make sure everything fits fine?

I didnt notice till I was pretty much done with putting on the new suspension but when you get the kyb boots they advise using soapy water to help get the boots on and down. Did this on the last dustboot that had to go on the car vs. museling it/cutting it.

Ok thanks guys I guess I am going to leave that star bushing off and let the bronze bowl hit mzmtg's mount. I think that when all the pressure on there shouldn't be too much movement/clashing of the two.

BTW I've had my KYB boots for about 2-3 years now... I know most people say they rip a lot, but I Vinyled them when I put them on and they're still tear-free. Of course the car doesn't move much, so that could influence it also...

Thanks,
-Cyrus

it looks like it could just be a spacer to keep the dust boot/bumpstop down when extended. being that youll be lower, it doesnt seem like there would be a need for it. just my $.02

Well I learned the hard way, it's definitely needed. Either way my bumpstops wound up beneath the notch on the KYBs, and the bronze bowl would rattle a ton.
Case Closed.
