4th Gen Carbon Fiber Trunk (Ebay Find)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSA...15566716QQrdZ1

I don't know much about C-Wings carbon fiber but the current price is less than half of what I paid for mine. About 1 day left.

Enjoy.

isnt the light fitting a little different for the 97 to 99. or is the hood kind of like a universal fitting for all 95 to 99

you should have posted this kormax. . . consider it gone

I sent him and e-mail and asked a few question about it, including maybe a GD for it.

Speaking with the guy now. He says the lids normally are $599. Going to see what kind of deal can be gotten for say 10 buyers. Will keep you guys posted.

I just realized it for a 97+ Max... I already did the swap and have tails. I thought I was going to have to find some 96 tails again.

hmmm it does have a keyhole... might be a good thing for some and bad thing for people like me.

also... if any of you guys are bidding on it already, wait for the last minute and don't raise the price now....

well anyways.. doesn't matter to me cause i got one already.

mdeezy, thanks for contacting him and trying to initiate a groupdeal. i'm very interested.

i actually emailed the same seller about the cf hood a few days ago. does anybody know about the quality of cwings cf hoods for the maxima? i was looking into it and didn't find much. he did say that the hoods weigh ~20 lbs. didn't give me an exact number.

also, how much does this cf trunk weigh?

i would advise against the carbon fiber trunk lid. your car has almost no weight in the rear. If the rear end is light, than the contact patch of the rear tires will be minimum. and about last year these trunks were going for IIRC $450 shipped from paradox systems. they are $612 now. geez.

Do you speak from experience?
I have a CF trunk and have had no issues with my rear breaking loose.
Asa matter of fact, me and some other guys went out for a cruise locally and were on some pretty tight curves and I never had an issue.
The CF trunk is lighter, but its not like your taking away the rears complete weight.

yea, me and my dad went to dealership bout 2 days ago and my payment would be $850 a month for car payment and ins. and that just kinda bummed me out, i mean everything else is approved and stuff it's just now my decision if i want it or not..plus, im thinking that i'd rather put $850 dollars worth of parts a month in the max than car payment! plus, i got rent and other stuff, i dont think i be able to afford all that at once..so,im kinda looking to get another toy! that SUZUKI GSXR-750 looks really good..

a stock trunk w/o spoiler is not much more than 30lbs. i'm sure a cf trunk wouldn't even take more than 20lbs off the rear end.

$399 for a carbon fiber deck lid not bad

but if someone can work out group deal for $350 shipped that would be awesome

Is the winner an Org member?
If so, you guys should wait and see how the quality is, plus how long it takes to ship and recieve it.

Yeah i doubt the minimal weight loss from a cf trunk would effect handling at all. Even on a rwd car it wouldnt be significant enough. You guys can buy a cf trunk an reduce some weight off the rear end or you can remove your spare and jack for FREE.
