Putting Max Up For Winter

Hey guys, this is my first winter with my max and I've decided to put her up for the winter. I need some advice on what to do to prevent anything going bad or ceasing up over the winter. I dont have a garage so its going to be outside all winter. So far I put it up on stands, disconnected the battery and put a tarp cover it, what else do I need to do?

Yea, dont leave it on the city streets like that.... Its illegal... Your car has to move now and then , or it gets towed as garabage (depends if ur neighbours are nice)

Put a can of Stabil in the gas tank and leave gas in it. Put some moth ***** in the engine bay to fend off rodents.

Obviously to keep it in good shape and minimize its exposure to salt and sand on the roads.

I don't put my Maxima away for the winter but I certainly pick and choose when and where I drive it.

... i live in chicago always keep it outside and drive 300-400 miles a week sometimes.... not a scratch or spot of rust on it..

but if ur gonna do it... get urself a nice car cover.. and wax and wash the crap out of it before it gets real cold.. make sure to start it at least 2 or 3 times a week to get the fluids moving...

What do you recommend I do as maintenance for a long drive from Texas to South Dakota?

When were the spark plugs, air filter, oil and fuel filter last changed?

Rotate the tires if they are due to be rotated. Over inflate the tires by 2 or 3 pounds.

Do a pH test of the radiator coolant. Flush and refill the coolant if necessary.

Do visual checks of the suspension, steering, exhaust, CV boots, belts and hoses, etc.

Fill up the gas tank and drive.

Car cover for rust, Anti-freeze for obvious reasons, gas treatment to keep from freezing. At least take it out when the roads are dry if you're so paranoid to keep the car moving. NEVER SIT. BTW, what is your ****box compared to your max?

I got a 91 Honda Civic SI from my brother who doesn’t drive it any more. It has a few dents and scratches but it's in o.k condition and if it gets rusted or wrecked I wouldn’t care.
