Replacing manual shifter boot/bezel

Hey guys, I need to replace the shifter boot as the black outer fabric is peeling away a bit at the top. While I'm at it I want to replace the plastic bezel around the shifter boot. Is there any place that carries these at a decent price?

Any tips to remove/replace the bezel? And do I just grab the shift **** & twist counterclockwise? Do I need to hold the shift shaft with a pipe wrench or something to prevent damage to the mechanism?

TIA!

I got my new bezel from the stealership, I think it was like $80 for the bezel and boot, so not THAT bad in my opinion. As for the ****, just crank it off, you wont damage the shifter.

as for taking the bezel out......there are to clips in eaither bottom corner just reach through where the shift boot is and pull in an upward direction and it should come right out

check for sale section. they are a hot item as they can easily get cracked by a hard shift on a poorly adjusted sts. if you're lucky, though. you can get one for decent $$

Pull on the rear of the bezel first, then after those break free, slide the bezel down and outward away from the front of the car. You will need to unplug the ciggy lighter to remove it completely, and as said before, the **** just turns counter-clockwise off.
