Tokico Blues with Tokico springs??
Tokico Blues with Tokico springs??
Does anyone have this setup or would recommend this setup?
Does it take away alot of the body roll compared to the original SE setup?

i have the tokico blues and springs. I would recommend them if you want to stay low price, they do make a big difference. From reading reviews/opinions of the illuminas struts, i would spend the extra though. I will probably get the illuminas on the next round of replacement.
Spend the extra and get the Illumina's with the springs. I have mine set on 3 for both front and rear and for every day driving it's perfect. You will notice an incredible difference from your stock setup. The handling is awesome and the stance looks great. Just make sure whoever installs them, installs them correctly. You dont want to get them installed and then find out you should have had the struct bearings replaced. Anything you can replace, now's the time to do it. You'll be glad you did.
tokico blues are just stock replacements
Tokico Blue Shocks
Description: Tokico Blues are the non-adjustable OEM replacement shock closest to OEM. They don't provide much more damping than the original maxima shocks. They also have problems with the rears blowing and leaking when combined with stiff aftermarket springs (Eibachs and Ground Controls confirmed) while the fronts are generally fine. Otherwise they make great replacement shocks for stock springs. They will usually last between 10k-60k miles on a car with an aftermarket suspension depending on the stiffness of the spring before leaking or getting very soft.
Tokico Springs
Description: The Tokico springs have a drop of 1.5" in the front and 1.3" in the rear. They have a spring rate of Front: 111 - 225 lb/in and Rear: 148 - 295 lb/in which probably puts them around the same stiffness as H&R. They are somewhat new but when paired with Tokico Illumina’s they are regarded as a good spring for its comfortable yet sporty ride, good drop (ends up being a bit lower than 1.5/1.3) and improved handling that eliminates most body roll. They seem to offer a good ballance between handling and comfort and many are satisfied with this setup. They should be paired with Koni Yellows, KYB AGX, Tokico Illuminas, KYB GR2, or possibly Tokico Blues.

I have the Tokico Blues with the matching springs. It's a vast improvement over stock and it's very comfortable. The blues handle "moderate" drops just fine, so don't worry about the blowout rumors. Tokico matched this set because it works. I've been running them for 2 yrs or so, I have no complaints. The people that quote others^^^ but never had the experience for themselves are useless. Their advice is not worth the energy it took to type up their regurgitated BS. Have a nice day.
