I'm sure if there was a such thing he would. lol

I'm not really sure what the outcome would be. I've seen s2000's in the mid 14's. Do you have anytimes?

Ya make it sound as if you put in your headers for the track and then take em off again when you're done.

I think the S2000 would win, but no one will know the answer until you go to the track and find out.

Yeah they are strong on the highway, although with i/h/e I think you might do well against one. With just the intake your probably gonna get pulled on.

S2000's are typically low 14-second cars stock.

probably got a better chance if you run him from a roll where the VQ TQ owns, but he is lighter and will prob catch you...

From a roll the VQ will get walked due to it's poor, as compared to the s2K's upper RPM beahvior.

The outcome will depend on how aggressively he launches, because those car's are very potent on the high end, and your stock A33B will get pulled on later on in the race if he launches correctly, or at least his trap will be on par or slightly higher.

well i must have been watching the crap version s2000, real sweet ride but i have never seen an s2000 run better that a 14.8-14.9 at the strip. are there different models ? or more power in one year to the next ? i remember thinking i was going to race one, and as the lines paired off he raced a car ahead of me. 14.9 was his run, later i watched the race video and he his best run was 14.8 something.

hardly a way to tell what a car would run my watching one, but have seen a few others and they ran those times too. i was under the impression they were much faster than that. so still sorta a mystery to me.

good luck with it, do you know what you run in the 1/4 mile ?

They need to launch at redline or fuel cut to get any decent times.

Seen one pull a 13.98 stock. Dunno how high he dumped it but the engine was screaming at the line while I launched at 1400-1500 next to him. Funny thing is, we both had identical 2.0 60 foots

My brother has beaten them in his 6spd Max many times when he just had CAI. Also, I beat my friend's s2000 in my stock Altima 3.5SE 5-Spd.

If you can drive, you should do well... and with the i/h/e/p you would kill it. I don't understand why you guys are that scared of them.

and like i said from a roll, no prob. Nmexmax, look at steven88s vids where he beats up on a rsx type s with a header and intake. granted he is more modded, but he said in one of the 2 thread, from a roll, he kills the rsx....

What I don't understand is why you guys would care if you lost?

You have a 4-door familly sedan marketed at viagra-challenged decrepits, he has a 30k "sports car" with a decidedly suspect pair of *****, how much more humiliating is it for the "sports car" to get beaten by the max?

Our cars are sleepers. We really shouldn't feel bad when we loose.

I have my money on the maxima....PlanoSER is right...S2000's shouldn't be feared....they are built for circuit racing...not drag racing...people who buy S2000's strictly for drag are missing out on a whole lot...I never had any personal 1st hand experience dragging an S2k, but from the vids and talks...I hear they are pretty difficult to launch...and their power does not come on until the top-end....with that in mind, if Rchun08 has a decent launch, he might be able to hold off the s2k by the time he crosses the line...

sorry to be "that guy " but I think that you guys are underestemating the s2000, 237hp and 162tq with a redline od 8k and a lower curb weight. I'm not so sure... it may be a dog fight but numbers don't mean everything ,just go out there and find out good luck

with your headers and such if you can drive at all you will own him. i raced one at the track about two months ago, dont know what performance goodies he had, but i do know he had some nice a$$ volk wheels and carbon hood. this was without my safc II and he got owned. i ran a 9.3 he ran a 9.9 i believe. he also had his hot a$$ girlfriend in the car with him, as soon as the race was over he just left. it was great. i honestly thought i didn't have a chance, but it was a slaughter. you should definatly win.

Yah I second that, from a complete stop might not be good for you if you don't know how to drag.

That is a good point too, but the reason I was thinking of is that at 5-10mph that car is only at like 2000rpm, where they make approximately -908763897464.01 ft-lb of torque.

I like to go from a 2nd gear roll, because I don't have traction issues by then. So you know the real power of your car and the one you're racing. You can just floor it.

From: Auburn WA,
few drivers are capable of putting an s2000 under a 14 sec stock, most will do 14.2-14.6.

few drivers are capable of putting an o2 6speed max at low 14's, most will do 14.5-15.0.

Get slicks and you will own him

14.5, okay. But 15.0? That royally sucks for a 6-speed. My 190 hp 4g did that stock. Mid 14s seems to be the norm. I've never heard of ANYONE not being able to put a manual transmissioned VQ35 in the 14's. Ever.

if you make sure that the s2k has to start at low rpms youll own. the s2k doesnt get any power until vtec, which is like 5k or something terrible like that. If you can drive your 6spd, youll win.

I just hope you kick that Hondas' a.s.s!

SHOW HIM VQ POWER MAN AND TEACH HIM SOME RESPECT!

I hate Hondas with their stupid, over-revving, over-loud engines..."yay, look at me I have to redline my car to move away from the lights"...HAHAHA!
