95-96 red clears on ebay

Did I miss something? I have not seen these on ebay yet. They look like the CM tails. Has anyone bought them from this seller or know anything more about these? Thanks.

Maybe they have the same manufacturer, but they look like the CE tails.

I wrote the guy, asking him about the manufacturer, but I have not heard back yet. I thought even with the second batch of CM's they were still not fitting right. Did I miss something? Do they fit now? I thought they did not sit flush on the trunk with out shaving/cutting things.

The problem with the fitting issues has to do with the stip of indented glass about 1" down from the top. '97-'99's don't have this groove, thus making their lights easier to make.

Since the '95-'97 cars need this groove in the lights, you cant retrofit the '97+ style without changing trunk lids, and so the '95-'96 lights need to be custom made. In other words, lots a $ for both the maker and the buyer.

I think this is genuine, since the pics show the indentation in the light covers, so if its a flush design, then that would be misrepresentation/fraud, right?

Wow, that guys auction is some how able to make the CM tails look even worse, didnt think that was possible. Id stay away from those, the fitment is horrible, and the beam pattern or what ever youw ant to call it sucks. The bulb doesnt reflect off the reflector, when they are lit, all you see it the bulb. Pure crap and SO ugly.

If you want some red clears, get some real ones like these:

No doubt the price will get up there near the end but its worth watching.

I know about that auction...I have already bid once I was just wondering about these others (I am not ready to buy them..i'm just curious), I actually like they way they look even though I know you^^ and others do not like them. I also know that even with the second batch from CM they still had fitment issues. I would not think that it would be that hard to make a set of tails that fit with no modification required.
