I like how it is clear around the reverse lights but I'm not diggin' the smoked tint pattern. If it was evenly smoked all around then it would be a hit.

I finalllllllly got my taillights & fog lights smoked (solid).... don't really feel that whole spotted pattern... sorta defeats the purpose of smoking/tinting them.

I'm not sure many of us here on the .org like that sorta smoking.

for the guys who have tinted their tail light.... have any of you gotten pulled over and written up for the tinted tail lights? If so, what did you do to get the ticket written off? also, is it easier to use the tint film and place it in the inside ofthe tail light, or to use the tint solution to actually tint it..

--- help ---

I have been pulled over by a$$hole cops twice, once for tinted windows and once for allegedly speeding. Neither time was my taillights mentioned. I have seen the film and I dont like it because I noticed it was bunched on the bottom. Maybe it was poorly applied. With the spray tint, you can control the amount of tint, it just takes a bit of patience and use many LIGHT coats of tint plus the clear coat. Make sure you wetsand it with 1000 grit and polish and wax to a shine.

Never been pulled over for the lights. Did get pulled over for disturbing the peace and noise pollution, but got off with a warning.

My film bunched up at the bottom, but I didnt find anyone at a tinting place that would put them on for me. They said they had never done it and didnt want to screw it up. So i went ahead and did it myself, so that might explain the buched up bottom.

tote if you take them to a reputable shop that will do it, you can get them painted, by them applying mostly clearcoat and a mixture of gray and black, it takes a bit to get the correct combo.. I know, i had my mustang tails done, and it took them 5-8 tries to get it to a lighter spray. Try that..

Toto: Go to a local hobby shop and pick up some cans of tint. Also get some clear coat. I wetsanded with about 600-800 grit before applying the tint and after the clear coat is put on I wetsqanded with 1000 grit. Actually, I need to wetsand it more because it is still a bit dull. Then polish with Megueirs step 2 polish and wax.

Majestic: Arguably its removable, but its kinda hard and Im not sure how I would remove it.
