Anyone ever have Fuel gauge issues?
The past three months or so ive been having issues with my fuel gauge.
When its full it registers correctly but when its below 1/2 tank sometimes it desides not to register anything at all and stays at "E" If i turn the car off and start it once or twice again it will register right usually.
Anyone know what this problem is or how to fix it?

Similar.
Ive had a similar problem with my 95 max.
My Fuel Guage read 1/4 tank. and my car died on me...
I could start it and drive for 1 mile and it would die again.....
I then called a Tow truck and brought it to my family mechanic.
He asked " you try puttin gas in it". i said well it has 1/4tank right!
Yeah, all it needed was gas... thats after a $60 tow bill.
I keep my tank full now.

I reset my trip odometer every time I fill the fuel tank, it's a good double check against the gas gauge. If the miles get unusually high relative to the gauge for particular driving conditions, just fill the tank. I fill it if it got to over 300 city miles or 400 highway miles.
Is there any way to check the sending unit against a multimeter to see if it's malfunctioning?
