OK, guys. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea how much 02 SE's usually run at the dealer auction? I'm selling my 240sx and pick up a 02 or 03 Maxima. My uncle has a car dealership in Oklahoma City and is going to start watching the dealer auctions for me. I would like to pick up a 6 - speed, but we all know how rare they are. Anyways, how much do they usually fetch????

 

My car came from a dealer auction , dads freind owns one i got a 2002 SE 85k for 9k , 6 speed with 60 k go for 12 -13 k.....

 

Depends on what area of the nation. Here in utah I have seen 6th gens 6-spds going for 14-18k.

5th gens have gone anywhere from 10-15k

Strangly I haven't seen a 5th 6spd. I don't know what thats about. Good luck with your search. Eventually you will find one...

I got my 00 Maxima with 80k Auto GLE for 7k.........

 

I just picked up my '03 se 6 speed with 52,000 miles on it that my girls cousin who works at (of all places) a Honda dealership whom i've been bugging for a good year and a half to find one for me. At auction it went for $12,900 because there is no leather or bose system, which didn't matter to me anyway. I was told that was a steal and lucked out because the 6 speeds are so rare it should have went for at least 15k.

 

i got my 01 AE for 10.5k wit 65k miles, fully loaded minus nav....its not a 2k2 but AE prices are similar

 

A year ago i bought a 2000 Maxima SE (base model) with 95K miles for $7200 about after tax and everything else it costed me $8200.

 

Family friend is dealer from worcester MA and told me that 6 speed at the eastern region auctions go anywhere from 12,000-17,500 depending on options. Plus there is always a lot of bidding on 6 speeds cause they are so rare!!!!! Good luck though

Well, if anyone would like to chime in with their opinions. I was wondering if everyone thinks it's worth the money to get a 02 or 03 over the 2000 and 01's. How much does it usually cost to upgrade to the HID lights? It seems like it might be a smarter move to pick up a very low mileage 2000 or 01.

 

i have access to the manhiem auction reports and they have been $10-12k with milage from high 30's to 90's. obviously the lower miles have the bigger tag, but that is pretty much the range in the east. 04 g35s are in the $17s with limited equip.

 

i wouldnt go with an 00 or 01 over an 02 or 03 unless you really want to save some money, unless you want an 01 AE, then thats comparable to a 5.5 gen. Also, you can find some used HIDs in the classifieds usually for about $600.

 

Man..... decisions, decisions. OK well, I test drove a 2003 SE-R specv today, and those little cars a lot of fun. Now, I don't know what to do. Opinions anyone??? Has anyone here owned a specv before, what do you think compared to a 2002 Maxima SE (automatic probably).

 

I bought my 2k2 max 6 speed from ebay for 15,900 in october 2003 and it had 26,000 miles on it, with all options except nav and heated seats. I got a steal on it.
