Now what Muffler ?

Well I got my full 3" exhaust put on and it windes up my dynomax super turbo muffler is shot. One of the baffles on the insde is loose and while i drive the car its vibrating on the inside and it sounds horrible. Completely unexeptable.

Now I need to decide, I already got another one shipped out to me but Im kinda thinking of going with something different. I dont wanna go through the install of this again and have this one shot again.

Im considering the Blitz Nur Spec muffler...anyone have one or ever heard it ?? I have a pretty big resonator on there with a perferated core so Im not sure if the Nur spec will be too loud for my likeing.

Or I Can just just get a borla ??

Here is the Nur Spec:

Any feedback is appreciated..thanks

Canister mufflers look absolutely horrible on a maxima. My brother has a Nur Spec on his 240 and it is nice, but it just isn't for a maxima

Matty,

Can you cut open that bad Dynomax turbo muffler to show what the inside looks like?

I had the thing up in the air at the place I had it installed at, and with the car reving you can hear the baffles on the inside buzzing. Then we hit the muffler a few times and it disapated. Reved it up again and it was back.

I didnt hear the buzzing right away after the install, but maybe about 50 miles after the install only in the cold, then it would dissapear after it was warm. Then it got worse and I would hear it all the time through the revs. 2200 rpms then disapear and then re-appear at 2500rpms..really annoying buzzing sound....not a vibration, but a buzzzz

I have to send this back to the company, so I wont be able to slice it up.

Now I really need to decide what Im putting in the car. Nur-spec or a Borla Unit.

Hmmm. My Dynomax made a buzzing sound the first 100 miles or so I had it - but has since completely stopped making that noise....

I had a superturbo in for 25000 miles and didnt have any problem with it. The only reason i took it off was cause i switched to the All welded strait through muffler once i went turboed... Which i might also recomend for you , its a direct replacement for the superturbo and its is considerably tougher... bit louder thought. But yea, that sucks man.

yea...Im kinda a fan of it not being loud while just cruizing down the highway. I think Im going to stay away from the magnaflow after reading some previous posts about it.

Blitz Nur Spec ?
Borla ?
Or just install the New Dynomax I have ?

I need a larger exhaust also. I got a GD price quote on the Apexi WS Turbo 80mm (3.15") muffler. It's $179 shipped. The tip on it is a massive 4.5 inches, I wonder if it will even fit without melting the bumper cover. Here's my HKS with a 4.1" tip. It barely clears the bumper cutout.
