Extended Warranty: Worth it to buy?
Extended Warranty: Worth it to buy?
Hey guys,
I have a 2004 maxima with 30,000 miles. I got it at 20,000 and have put on 10,000 miles over about 4 months of owning it. I am a heavy mileage driver, I do anywhere from 22,000 to 30,000 miles a year. I am interested in buying an extended warranty, I am curious to know what you guys think about it.... Do you think it is worth $1300 - $1600 bucks for 5 year/100,000 mile warranty? Has anyone had any problems after the initial 36,000 mile warranty is up and felt that they should have purchased the extended warranty? Please post your feedback. Thanks everyone in advance!

I would like to get some feedback also since I'm at 32k on my 04. The car had the typical strut and brake problems. Also some trim was replaced and the stereo was replaced so I'm kinda scared some big stuff might crap out after my waraanty expires. I know the powertrain is still covered but the $70 an hour labor rates can be expensive even if they are replacing a light bulb.
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks,
Mike
