My girlfriend got her car towed tonight and i was wondering about rules and laws. She parked in car in a space of office building next to apartment not seeing the tow sign facing the wrong way on the building behind it in a alley ?

 

I don't know about the laws in your area but if the sign is not exposed where it can be seen I would take a picture and fight the towing and fine fee.

She was on private property, most likely got a ticket to pay as well.
The sign means nothing, you don't park in your neighbors driveway just because he doesn't have a "NO PARKING" sign do you?
You can't just park anyplace you please. Sign or no sign.

 

Even if its a office building there should be a sign that can been seen to state no parking. I park at places in the city that have no signs and I have no problems, if I see a sign I don't park there.
