Ok. No flames please. I cannot seem to get the search feature to work. I had read a post about fixing the loose Clear Corners about a week ago. I searched for it earlier this week and it took me about an hour and a half to find the post. I printed the post and now I list it. I cannot find the post again. The subject was Clear Corners Fix !!! I believe. I tried searching it but it came back with no results.
Can any body help me with finding that post?
Also, all the clear cut corners people what did you do to fix yours? Mine are loose and do not fit snugly like the Orange ones that came with the car. BTW I got the Diamond Cut ones from Greg.
Thanks and as I mentioned above I am not trying to start a controversy but I don't have too much time to keep serarching for the topic.

dvpatel,
As long as I'm a moderator, a demonstrated effort by you to research a topic will NOT have flames as responses by any member.....at least not for more than a few minutes.
Thanks for making an effort. I hope many members will put forth the effort as you did in helping to make this site a resource and not a sponge.
I have the same problem with those diamonds, as well as the regular ones, I took some PVC cement stuff, kinda like rubber cement, and put in on the little piece that the light pops into and the corner of it they sit fine, the cement is not strong so they can pop out with a screw driver very easily. They stayed in really well, but I lost the stuff and I can't fit them back in very well right now. I took the little snap peice and put in on the light then pressed really hard to pop it in the hole there and they seem to be in there really well now but I will see.
I got my clears from "Steelin" [shoulda gone w/ Courtesy].
Anyway, no problems for me so far [not on very long though].
Some post suggest unscrewing the little "pop-in" thing,
removing the piece that it pops into from the fender
then put the light in place and screw the "pop-in" thing
back in from the other side
[remove the fog light and you can get your hand up in there].
This might fix your problem
- but most people do this to make them harder to steal.
I will be doing this, but only after I rewire the fogs
[which requires removal of the corner lights].

Thanks
Thank You Bill99gxe.
I searched with clear corners and that came up with too many hits. I searched with different combinations of hose, clear corners etc but never used the word problem. I guess you are the search master. He He He.
Once again thanks!!!

Re: loosen the little hex bolt so that it is just as
I do not have the problem with putting them on. They pop in exactly like the stock ones. They do not fall off and I need the flathead to remove 'em. The problem is that they seem to be a little thinner than the stock one so they are not tight on the opposite sie by the wheelwell. They do not sit tight. I can move them with my fingers and I think if I drive the car they will rattle.
I think I will need to put some sort of packing like this guy mentioned http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....corner+problem so that they fit snugly and yes I am planning on securing them with a screw eventually.

Points to note when searching:
-Never use plural words; you'll get more hits with singular words. i.e. "clear corner" instead of "clear corners"
-Be forum specific if you are sure of the source where you saw a particular post
-Try to remember how other members, not yourself, state words in their posts. The catch word in my search was "solution". I had seen that used many times in all kinds of posts so I gave that a shot.
-Acronyms are a no-no currently. This is REAL irritating and forces you to get REAL creative on finding certain posts.
Anyhoo, glad to be of service.
