Muffler Bearing

So I was driving and started to hear this weird sound coming from the back of the car. its been doin it for a while and its really gettin on my nerves so I took my car to the shop and the guy said it was a muffler bearing and would cost about 200 to get it fixed. I was gonna let him do it but then was like maybe I can. What do you guys know about muffler bearings and are they easy to fix? Thanks guys!

man... i think you should sell the car and get a new one...
it's only a matter of time before the muffler belt goes and your kanuter valve can't have much life in it if the muffler bearing is messed up.

Muffler bearings are only used with 4" fart cans, altezzas and led washer nozzles...

Nah man, GXE + blinker fluid + muffler bearings + white gauges = SE

Add leather, Bose and you have a GLE.

You can use one of your strut bearings as a replacement. It won't cost you a dime, problem fixed!

$100 sounds pretty cheap for a muffler bearing, it's probably not platinum tipped OR mandrel bent....

There's a joke involved somewhere here, but I'm not sure who's telling it. Either the original poster made this post as a joke, OR the post is serious and the mechanic was playing a joke on the poster.

I was going to post something intersting, but too many people posted already, so it is not funny anymore

BTW be careful witht he bearing, if you don't replace soon, the Johnson Rod might bend and get lodged in between the frame rack.

Edit Nealoc187, look at the matts95max signature pic, he has done at least a engine swap... do you think he goes to his mechanic to ask for anything...

I have sigs turned off because most people feel the need to write their life story in their sig and also include pictures bigger than my monitor.

Don't forget to have them adjust the camshaw fitment sleeve. Failure to do so could have bad implications on the dieselfitter mechanism...
