Well its time for a new flywheel and I wanted to ask the boosted guy as to what you prefer? I read lotsa posts where people said the Fidanza was poop and oem is better abd vise versa. Any suggestions as im gonna be at around 400whp by end of winter. Thank you,

Don't bother with a lightened flywheel.

 

I broke my findanza flywheel a couple of days ago, it sounded horrible it thought I blew the motor. And now that I've switched back to the regular flywheel I love it. Its so much easier to drive.

 

I prefer lightenend flywheel. Everyone has different experiences and opinions.

 

well, i toasted my stock flywheel about a year ago, slapped on a stillen's flywheel. The new flywheel broke just a couple weeks ago. It actually snapped in two pieces. I now ordered a fidanza flywheel with a new ring gear. Everything seems fine now. My comparison of the 3 flywheels?

stock: stock weight, beefy one piece machine, couldn't handle my launches.
stillen: thin center area where it meets the the bearing core, hard to drive with it, and it snapped after a year. my car isn't even FI'ed.
fidanza: great material, much lighter than stock, center area is also. Drives smooth, almost like stock. I don't realize any low rpm hesitation like some others have mentioned.

I have a fidanza. I like it okay, but I suggest staying with stock.

 

Stillen flywheel is thin in the center. Uses stock centering ring. Stillen flywheel is also heavier then the Fidanza. I personally prefer the Fidanza. Had it since I was SCed.
