i just saw a 350z the other day and it had LEd taillights. since the 6th gen max's lamps are similar do you think nissan will start putting Led tails on your rides? or will they wait for the 7th gen max's to do that? i think the 6th gens would look great with "factory" LED's, not that cheap rice crap that was posted a while back.

 

Im pretty sure they will not only does the "Z" have them but so does the murano and other car manufacturers are doing it too like the new accords and toyota highlanders. im sure that it is going to be the new industry standard (faster light up plus longer lasting)

Not sure of anything, but one of the rumors I heard last month (maybe here?) was that one of the changes for the upgraded (but not redesigned) '07 Maxima (still 6th gen) would be LED taillights.

That would seem reasonable to me, as it gives another little reason to buy what would essentially be a five year old design (the first '04s were produced in January 2003).

I still feel the 7th gen may come out as an '09 in spring 2008. If so, the only way the 7th gen taillights would not be LED would be if an even better lighting system is developed between now and then.
