new poll what is your top speed reached in first

hey guys i have a poll/question this is for those two thousand maxima owners. what is your top speed reached in first and how long did it take you to get their. if you own an auto i am interested to. if you have a turbocharger that is really not fair but those results would also be interesting. let me start my maxima is a 2000 five speed , in first gear i have went from 0-39mph in about 3.1 seconds(time estimate) i was at around 6700 rpms running 89 octane. i will try again with my next filup on 93 octane.

a dyno is an even better estimate of engine power.

How is this a good estimate of engine power? It's more reflective of gear ratios than anything, but with a little math, it can be done rather than looking at our innacurate in cabin instrumentation.

I think the better question is "who cares what the top speed is in any part" because the only time you should be at top speed is at a road course track (one with a big straightaway).....not on the street.

you can't get a accurate data by doing this. Everything happens too quickly and at low speeds.

Go to a drag strip and find out your 1/4 mile time. IMO, it's the most accurate indicator or straight line performance.

It even takes the driver into account.

anyone buy 7200rpm on stock ecu w/ backup verification from electronic tac calibrated using the ignition signal. 1st gr top...39ish but i cant verify the spd like i can the rpm. i guess this is useless info but i know it. i was trying to get the best times at the track and pinpoint optimal shift points refrenced in a thread i found on here a few yrs back. anyone call bs with the rpm, stardust can verify. i am not saying that my car is faster than someone elses, but I will take anyone that is interested out and demonstrate the extra rpm range. anyone else have this? my max is canadian origin. don't know if that has anything to do with it. the instruments have been converted to us and all has been verified by consult II.
