i have new springs and shocks (h&r, tokico) ready to be installed next week.
here's my to do list...
1) get the bumpstops cut?
2) get alignment?
is that about it?
and is the alignment really necessary? i cant seem to find a close place by me =\

The alignment is necessary if you don't want your tires to wear prematurely. I drove about 500 miles before I got mine aligned and the tire are OK. The car will drive just fine, but the long term effects will catch up to you.
You forgot one thing on your list: install shocks and springs.

Yep get an alignment at a capable shop with knowledge of lowered cars. Make sure the caster/camber/toe is all with in spec for regular daily driving if that is what you do with it.
Make absolute sure you seat the springs properly unless you want to look like you are running hydrolics.
How about a spring compressor? Do you have one?
Make sure to use a torque wrench to secure the lug nuts, warped rotors are not fun.
