Housecor, you are such a help to this forum. Thanks for all your how-to's. They have made a substantial improvement to the looks of my car and the way it drives.

Damn I need to install these bishes. They have been sitting in my room for about 2 months waiting for me to find some install time. I'm a little scurred of taking my headlights apart and not resealing them properly. I've seen plenty of write-ups and housecor you are the man. You have a wealth of great info on your site. Thanks

Are you trying to imply that the angel eye halo could provide enough light for someone to be able to drive with ONLY the halo on?

All of these cars look sooo nice. I think I'm gonna buy a pair of 2002 hids (if i can find them cheap enough and be satisfied that they are not stolen) and then bake them and do the dde mod. <---- Easier said than done but still my plan. Anyone have any ideas by the way on how to tell if headlights you're going to buy are stolen? I was thinking cut connectors or small cracks or chips around the edges? Thanks

Just so you and max570 know, the HID headlights cost a MINIMUM of 12k if you get them from nissan, so if you find them for $500 somewhere- yeah, they're stolen. On top of that, you're looking at couple hundred for the ballasts and wiring kits, and another few hundred on top of that for the DDE's. So, if you have money flowing out your ears, go right ahead. Otherwise just keep drooling like the rest of us.

Woah, they're not that pricey. IIRC, most reports price them around 1400 from the dealer.

You can get the HIDs headlights and housings from CourtesyParts http://www.courtesyparts.com. They run for about $1,375.00 (not 12k)

Installing the 5.5gen headlights in a 5th gen requires some modification I believe. Ask around on the ORG, because i've seen a few that've had it done.

And then you could order a lighting kit from Umnitza or something to top it off, and then of course the DDE's!

So realistically it'd probably run you in the $1,600 - $2,000 price range.

Anyone knows the diameter of those rings? I know that those for the low beams are bigger than high beams but which size?

Thanks.

Italiano sweet you're from Albany...

I probably wouldn't go to the dealership on this one, but thanks ressling for the info on courtesy nissan. I was thinking about an aftermarket replica set (all philips bulbs and ballasts) or picking up headlights one by one. I plan on making the halos myself, so I might need another headlight when I destroy the 1st one in the oven....

I'm not in a huge rush, I still have some research/shopping around to do. I do love the way it looks though, everyone's car in the pictures looks awesome!

I think yellow ddes would look good especially on black housings.
