alternator/ac belt question

I am installing my rebuilt alternator and decided to get a new belt. It seemed like a simple task to put it back on, but I have been trying for the past hour. I was just wondering if anyone had any hints or tricks that would make it easier to get back on. Thanks!!!

It should be a peice of cake. You loosned the tensioner? Are you sure it's the correct belt?

did you loosen the bolt on the tensioner pulley first? Loosen the 14mm tension nut all the way til it cant go no more. Then try. same thing happened to me.

Once I got it lined up with the crank pulley, it just sort of popped onto all of them and just tightened up the idler pulley and it was all good
