Yayyy!! Bearings fixed and new 5th gen clutch

I've had my car for about 8 months and drove around with bad tranny bearings for about 7 months. I just got them fixed this week and it couldn't be better. Shifts easier, drives smoother, and 5th gen clutch grabs hard and quick. I'm lovin it!!! Y-pipe next on the list...Whole job cost $1000 plus $400 to do my water pump...Car runs excellent.

Glad to hear she's back up and better with a new setup.

Haven't seen you post in a while, almost thought you went back to your Camry :-)

I came from a gen 4.5 Camry myself, and remember you from TN...

Oh. Yeah I was on TN yesterday and saw you post. I have just been lurking around TN. My job actually blocked forums a while ago so that's why I haven't been on. Just recently I have been able to log on but I don't know how long it will last. Good to see ya! The Maxima is like night and day compared to the camry. I love it!!

Yep...our '01 V6 had the air/fuel sensor on the rear manifold go out a long time ago, so it's been gutless ever since...it's supposed to have 194 bhp and 209 ft/lbs of torque stock, but it isn't even close to that running on safe mode.

When I got my Max I was chirping tires at every intersection for a few days because I was used to driving the Camry...definitely night and day. I still respect the 1MZ, though.

Yeah. I actually had the 3vz but it was still a good and very very very very reliable car.

Oh boy. Where do I start. I have a few threads starting that explain the noise in great detail. It's like a grinding noise while accelerating. Kinda like a chain dragging accross a wooden block. LOL.(thats the best I can do). It also make a clicking/grinding noise while idling also. Whenever I would push the clutch to the floor the noise went away. It was really really noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear and then got worse and started to make noise in 3rd and 4th. Towards the end my clutch started slipping badly. If I can find my old threads I will post em.
