Auto Tranny Acting Funny

It only happens when I'm in traffic or accelerating lighly. When it shifts gears it kinda goes out of gear and slips back it. For instance Im in first gear and I lightly accelerate, when it comes time to shift say I'm at 2000rpm the tach goes up to 3000 rpm and shifts smoothly NO JERKS. However there is a chirping sound like I chirped my tires when it shifts. Tires are brand new Toyo Proxes 4. Then there is sometimes when I stop at a red light and it turns green right away the car doesn't move until 2200 and thats when there is a BIG jerking motion. Is my tranny on its way out? It never happens when I'm accelerating hard or normal just when I'm accelerating soft like in traffic.

Yep, either your bands are worn or the solenoids are going bad. Time to visit a tranny shop.

Bands or solinoids huh? Yep that sounds like an arm and a leg. Seriously if my tranny is dying its bye bye max. I still owe money on the car so if it is i'll probably end up selling it and getting a newer max unless its not that much money.
