cost of tierod

how much should i be paying for a drivers side tie rod repacement?

do it yourself. save some money. its very easy. 2 nuts and a locking pin and you are done

BTW it an outer side tierod. The part is 45 follars. But what should I be getting bent over for labor? I dont have the means of doing this myself, but thanks for the sugesstion

it no more than an hour labor...so depending on what the shops labor rate is...if htey get it close enough u can go with out an alighment for a bit

and alignment will be needed, dont try to skip that.

On hour should be more than suffient to get the tie rod replaced. A decent shop charging $70/hr. Buy the outter tie rod youself (~$30 for one) and ~$60 for an alignment.

~$160 for the whole job.

if you plan on keeping your maxie for awhile....you should try investing in a lifetime alignment at Firestone, Discount Tires, Sears....etc

I'm planning to get one soon....it's $149 near my house...

i didnt mean for him to skip out on n alignment completely.....but he can get it done...then get the alignment done teh next week ....but anyway lifetime alignments good idea...especially u have adj. height springs/coilovers....and do alot of track days/auto-x
